Gamewatch with ASU – Come cheer on the Illini for Game 2
We are heading to Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach this week to watch the game with the ASU Alumni. This will be a tough game since they won their opener 63-6. Let’s hope Coach Beckman and the team can get an Illinois win since it is being broadcast on ESPN at 7:30PM PT.
With the win over Western Michigan, Illinois won its seventh-straight season-opener at home, as well as its 15th straight home-opener. Illinois improves to 4-1 all-time vs. Western Michigan, winning all four games in Champaign. Coach Tim Beckman, meanwhile, improves to 3-1 all-time vs. the Broncos.
Arizona State and Illinois have played each other three previous times, with the Sun Devils going 2-1 in those meetings but new coach, new year, who knows.
